Chapter 3

The next morning I woke up at my usual time, 6 am. I sat up on the bed and rubbed my eyes, was last night really as amazing as I imagined it? Did it even happen at all? I looked to see if Jon was there lying next to me, but he wasn't, he probably went back to his own bed afterwards, as usual. I got up and opened the curtains, the sunrise over the navesink river looked beautiful. I just had to go for a run. There wasn't many mornings that I was free and the weather was beautiful.

I went over to my walk in wardrobe and got out some shorts, a tank top and my sneakers. I grabbed my i-pod off of the dressing table and set off on my run.

As I was running I was listening to The Goo Goo Dolls - Iris. Oh how much I loved that song! It reminded me so much of Jon. And I'd give up forever to touch you...

After several minutes I noticed someone running beside me.

It was Jon. I stopped running and turned off my i-pod. "Jon.. I never saw you there, sorry." I said, and of course he gave me that multi-million dollar smile that melts the hearts of millions! "Becky, it's fine... I was rather enjoying just running next to you, watching you run.." he replied. I didn't know whether to take it as a compliment or be insulted that he didn't want to talk to me. I decided to take the better deal. A compliment. "How long have you been next to me?" I asked, I asked trying to look into his eyes behind those dark sunglasses. "About two miles...what's your favorite song?" he asked changing the subject. My favorite song? Why would he want to know MY favorite song? "Iris... by the goo goo dolls," I replied, i could feel my cheeks burning.

We turned back then and ran for a few miles then went into a diner for some breakfast.

"Hey Jon, how ya doin?" the waistress asked, we were at Jon's favorite diner in town it was called Uncle Ed's, "I'm good thanks," he said looking at the menu, though he knew what he wanted before he came in. "Got any pork rolls?" Jon asked flashing his multi-million dollar smile. I could tell the girl was dazzeled by him. She nodded, then she looked over at me, she looked me up and down with a dirty look. "What do you want.." she said as if she couldn't care less if I died on the spot. "I'll have the same," I said as politely as I could. She turned back to Jon and gave him a huge smile and a wink then went to the kitchen.

Jon was watching me, I looked up into his beautiful baby blue eyes, like I had done a thousand times before but this time it was different. Our eyes locked... that was the moment I was sure I was in love with John Bongiovi.
